ESHS Code of Conduct – HEMA
1. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Policy:
At Hema Construction Company, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental practices. We strive to create a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors while minimizing our impact on the environment. Our HSE policy includes the following principles:
- a. Compliance: We will comply with all applicable health, safety, and environmental laws, regulations, and industry standards. Our operations will meet or exceed the minimum legal requirements to ensure the well-being of our employees and the protection of the environment.
- b. Risk Assessment and Prevention: We will conduct thorough risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards. Our goal is to prevent accidents, injuries, and illnesses by implementing effective control measures and providing necessary resources and training.
- c. Employee Participation: We encourage active employee involvement in HSE matters. Employees are responsible for reporting hazards, near misses, and potential risks promptly. We value their input in identifying areas for improvement and will provide mechanisms for open communication regarding HSE concerns.
- d. Continuous Improvement: We are committed to continually improving our HSE performance. We will set measurable objectives and targets, review our progress regularly, and implement corrective actions as necessary. Emergency Preparedness and Response: We will establish emergency response procedures and provide appropriate training to ensure that all employees can respond effectively in the event of an emergency. 2. Employee Training:
- a. General HSE Training: All employees will receive comprehensive training on HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices during their onboarding process. This training will cover topics such as hazard identification, risk assessment, emergency response, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and environmental conservation.

- b. Job-Specific Training: Employees will receive specialized training relevant to their job roles and responsibilities. This may include training on operating specific machinery, working at heights, confined space entry, hazardous material handling, and other job-specific HSE requirements. Training programs will be regularly reviewed and updated to align with evolving industry standards and best practices.

Refresher Training: Regular refresher training sessions will be conducted to reinforce HSE knowledge, update employees on new procedures or regulations, and address emerging risks and challenges. Employees will be required to participate in these sessions to ensure ongoing competency and awareness.
