Job Summary
The successful candidate will play a critical role in tendering, estimating project costs, managing budgets, and ensuring the efficient use of resources. The QS will be working hand in hand with projects’ technical team by making sure that projects are delivered as per Clients’ requirement.
Duties & Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for tenders and bids.
- Prepare and manage contract documents, including bills of quantities, cost reports, and payment certificates.
- Collaborate with the project team to monitor and manage project budgets, identifying any deviations and implementing necessary adjustments.
- Work closely with site managers and projects administration to ensure accurate cost forecasting and ensuring projects are completed within the budget.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, assess work quality, and verify quantity measurements and dispute resolution.
- Maintaining database for all projects
- Administer conditions of contracts
- Projects cost planning for various activities
- Preparation of projects final accounts
Qualifications, Experience & attributes
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying and must be a member of a professional body.
- Must have ability to interpret, adhere to and correspond with stakeholders regarding contract conditions and Contract Management matters.
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in Roads and Building works in similar position.
- Proficiency in using relevant software for quantity calculations and cost estimation.
- Strong written and verbal communication in English language.
- Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment and project stakeholders.
- Excellent numerical orientation and analytical ability.
